Thank you for stopping by, I'm so happy you're here!

I'm honored that you're interested in having me document all of the amazing moments that are going to unfold on your wedding day! I offer years of experience, a BFA in Fine Art - specializing in Photography, multiple features on some of the most exclusive wedding blogs, and so much love for weddings! I would be thrilled to be the one to tell your love story through beautiful photographs!

From booking to image delivery, I will provide an experience that leaves you with a happy heart, stunning photographs and memories you will cherish for years to come. My heart sings in the key of naturally lit outdoor venues, and I leap at any chance to rush off to a desert engagement, garden wedding or vineyard reception. Natural light, is key to my style of photography and best for my preferred medium: film. But while I love film, I am a hybrid photographer, so I also incorporate digital shots into any wedding day giving my couples the best of both worlds. I also believe firmly in the essential connection between couples and their photographer. Through personal connections, I am able to tell your story in the most honest, authentic way. Comfort with your photographer brings down walls, allowing the real you to shine through. It also allows you to live in the moment, so we can capture it for you to treasure long after the wedding flowers fade.

Film takes years to to learn how shoot well and it’s expensive, so why shoot it at all? Because I believe in giving my couples the absolute best and the best is film. Film produces the most gorgeous skin tones, the softest romantic images, and has the most timeless aesthetic. I often ask my couples “what drew you to my work?” and every time I hear about how it’s timeless and romantic - this is all thanks to my choice to shoot film and why you should consider hiring a hybrid photographer. Not only does it produce beautiful, natural colors, film helps photographers wait patiently for the perfect moment and slow down rather than “rapid fire” shooting hoping to get the shot. Of course I shoot digital too because there is a time and place for both depending on locations and lighting. Once I receive the film images from my processing lab, I then start the matching process. Over the years and lots (and lots!) of practice I have been able to look at the film photos in tandem with the images from my digital camera and match them so close that it’s quite hard to tell which is which! The film acts as a base to all of my digital photos so that you’re getting a consistent, timeless look throughout your final wedding gallery.

I want you to be able to feel the moments of your wedding while you scroll through your images. I want them to be beautiful, timeless, and honest. This is why I shoot film.

To capture the moments of genuine, honest emotion between two people in love, I believe it is unquestionably essential to build a connection between the couple and the photographer. One of the best ways to do so is by having an engagement session! By getting to know my couples, learning their stories and listening to their hopes for the future, I am able to draw out their personalities and help them to relax in front of the camera. My photography thrives on the natural and the unstaged, rather than tired, overused poses. Engagement sessions are a perfect way to get to get comfortable with your photographer before the big day, but most of all, they are so much fun! After booking, I provide a variety of engagement session tips, and we will chat about everything from location to wardrobe as we create a session that is perfectly you!

No matter how many weddings I photograph, I treat each one with the care and attention that I would treat my own, and embrace each as a unique expression of love. I commit to collaborating with my couples on everything from décor and lighting ideas to shot lists and timelines, preparing them for what to expect on the big day. Throughout the wedding planning process, I make myself available to answer any questions or be a sounding board for ideas, and after booking, couples receive all of my favorite wedding photography tips! It is of the highest importance to me that your experience from booking to flipping through your gorgeous, fine art, album is joyful, exceptional and stress free!

Wedding Day

Q: What makes your work different from other photographers’ work?
A: In a world where anyone can pick up a camera, I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to receive a Bachelor’s of Fine Art with a specialization in Photography. I’m properly educated in the creative and technical aspects of fine art photography - this includes making sure that all of my images are consistent in editing and shooting style. I shoot in both traditional film format and the latest professional grade digital cameras & lenses. I absolutely adore the timeless feel of film, but love the speed and reliability of digital. My work is consistently featured in top weddings blogs such as Style Me Pretty, The Know, Green Wedding Shoes, Brides, and more!

Q: How long until we receive our photos after our wedding?
A: Please allow up to 10 weeks for a full wedding gallery and up to 4 weeks for a full engagement session gallery. Although delivery is typically much sooner, turnaround times vary based on time of year. On the back end, film has to be dropped off to the lab, developed, and scanned back to me. Once I receive the film scans I then start the process to matching the digital photographs with the film photographs which will give you a cohesive, cared for, beautiful, final gallery.

Q: How many photographers will be there at our wedding?
A: There will always be two photographers at your wedding in order to get multiple perspectives and extra shots of all of the details. My second photographers are also great at capturing falling tears, sweet embraces, and more loving moments throughout your wedding.

Q: What is your backup system like for our wedding images? If something happens to the photos, it can’t be redone!

A: Making sure your images are taken and stored safely is something that I take extremely seriously. My digital camera has two memory card slots which means when I’m taking one photo it’s putting it in two places just in case one card fails. This is just the beginning of making sure the odds of a technology failure are slim. Once I get home the evening of your wedding, I back up the images onto two hard drives (again, in case of failure). From there, I keep all of the back ups in a fire proof safe in my office and when I go out of town I keep one hard drive at a family members house. The last thing I want my couples to worry about is their memories disappearing into the technology failure abyss. As my client, you’ll can rest easy knowing your files are in good hands!

Q: Will we get featured in a magazine or blog?
A: Although many of our shoots and weddings do get featured, this is not something that is guaranteed. Most publishers are interested in naturally lit, uniquely designed weddings! Also, making sure you have a great planner is key to not only making sure your event runs smoothly but also to help in your design too! Click here to view some of my favorite’s in the industry!

Q: How many photos will we receive in our final gallery?
A: This amount varies depending on guest count, details, location and hours booked. I do guarantee a minimum of 75 final, edited images per hour of shooting.

Q: Do I have to order prints through you?
A: I highly recommend ordering prints through my professional lab, but it is not required. Each collection comes with a print release that allows you to print how you’d like. However, the difference in quality is huge when it comes to ordering through a local printer and a professional lab, so we encourage clients to let us help with prints!

Q: What equipment do you use?
A: We use all professional grade Nikon and Canon equipment, medium format film cameras, and 35 mm film cameras. All of our pieces have a backup in the rare event that anything should occur to one of our cameras or lenses.
